This room showcases the paintings that developed under the patronage of Mughal elite at imperial ateliers and other workshops. Some of the finest examples of drawings and paintings from the reign of several Mughal emperors are on display here including a rare pre-Mughal Khamsa of Nizami. Deccani paintings from the sixteenth and seventeenth century Mughal provinces of the Deccan plateau are also displayed here.
