Functional Testing

• Test all website features, functionalities, and interactive elements.

• Verify forms, buttons, links, navigation menus, and user workflows.

• Test user registration, login, logout, and authentication processes.

• Validate e-commerce functionalities (cart, checkout, payment gateways)

• Test content management system (CMS) functionalities.

• Verify API integrations and third-party service connections.

• Test database operations (CRUD - Create, Read, Update, Delete)

• Validate search functionalities and filtering options.

Cross-Browser Testing

• Test websites across multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Opera).

• Verify compatibility with different browser versions.

• Identify and document browser-specific issues.

• Test browser extensions and plugin compatibility.

• Ensure consistent rendering across all browsers.

• Validate browser-specific features (notifications, storage, etc.).

Cross-Device & Responsive Testing

• Test on various devices (desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones).

• Verify responsive design across different screen sizes and resolutions.

• Test on both iOS and Android mobile devices.

• Check touch interactions, swipe gestures, and mobile-specific features.

• Validate mobile menu functionality and navigation.

• Test orientation changes (portrait/landscape).

• Ensure optimal performance on low-end and high-end devices.

UI/UX Testing

• Verify design implementation matches approved mockups.

• Check alignment, spacing, typography, and color consistency.

• Test animations, transitions, and interactive elements.

• Validate loading states, error messages, and user feedback.

• Check accessibility features (WCAG compliance, screen reader compatibility).

• Verify intuitive navigation and user flow.

• Test for visual consistency across all pages.

Performance Testing

• Measure page load times and identify performance bottlenecks.

• Test website speed across different network conditions (4G, 3G, slow connections).

• Verify image optimization and lazy loading implementation.

• Check for memory leaks and performance degradation.

• Test concurrent user scenarios when applicable.

• Monitor resource utilization (CPU, memory, bandwidth).

Security Testing

• Test form validations and input sanitization.

• Verify secure data transmission (HTTPS, SSL certificates).

• Check for SQL injection and XSS vulnerabilities (basic security checks).

• Test authentication and authorization mechanisms.

• Verify password strength requirements and security features.

• Check for exposed sensitive information or error messages.

Compatibility Testing

• Test with different operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android).

• Verify compatibility with various screen readers and assistive technologies.

• Test with different internet speeds and network conditions.

• Validate backward compatibility when required.

Bug Identification & Documentation

• Identify, document, and track bugs using bug tracking tools.

• Reproduce bugs consistently and document steps to reproduce.

• Categorize bugs by severity (Critical, High, Medium, Low) and priority.

• Take screenshots and screen recordings of issues.

• Create detailed bug reports with clear descriptions.

• Assign bugs to appropriate developers and track resolution.

• Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.

• Maintain bug status and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Test Report Preparation

• Prepare comprehensive test reports for each website/application.

• Document all test cases executed and their results.

• Create test summary reports with pass/fail statistics.

• Include screenshots, logs, and evidence of testing.

• Highlight critical issues and recommendations.

• Prepare browser and device compatibility matrices.

• Document performance metrics and benchmarks.

• Create executive summaries for client presentations.

• Maintain testing documentation and test case repositories.

Test Case Development

• Create detailed test cases based on requirements and specifications.

• Develop test scenarios covering positive and negative flows.

• Design edge case scenarios and boundary value testing.

• Maintain test case library for reusable test scripts.

• Update test cases based on requirement changes.

• Create checklists for standard testing procedures.

• Develop regression test suites for recurring testing.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with developers to understand features and functionalities.

• Communicate issues and bugs clearly to development team.

• Participate in requirement analysis and design review meetings.

• Provide feedback on user experience and usability.

• Coordinate with project managers for testing schedules.

• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with clients when needed.

• Train junior testers on testing processes and best practices.

Quality Assurance

• Ensure all websites meet CompuBrain's quality standards before go-live.

• Follow established testing processes and methodologies.

• Suggest improvements to testing processes and quality standards.

• Stay updated with latest testing tools, techniques, and best practices.

• Contribute to building a quality-first culture in the organization.

• Validate that websites are ready for production deployment.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Diploma in Software Testing or Quality Assurance is advantageous.

• ISTQB Foundation Level certification is a plus.

Experience

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

• Knowledge of testing methodologies (Black Box, White Box, Grey Box).

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum testing processes.

• Familiarity with test case design techniques.

• Knowledge of regression, smoke, and sanity testing.

Tools & Technologies:

• Bug tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, Trello, Asana).

• Browser developer tools (Chrome DevTools, Firefox Developer Tools).

• Cross-browser testing tools (BrowserStack, LambdaTest, Sauce Labs).

• Screenshot and screen recording tools (Snagit, Loom, OBS).

• Performance testing tools (GTmetrix, PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse).

• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS for understanding web structure.

• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman) is a plus.

Platforms & Devices:

• Hands-on experience with Windows, macOS, iOS, Android.

• Knowledge of different browsers and their versions.

• Understanding of responsive design principles.

• Familiarity with accessibility testing tools.
